Stormfield Refund Policy
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Our services
This policy covers Stormfield’s film production, creative content, systems development and managed services. Your written proposal or service agreement sets out the scope, payment stages, revisions and cancellation arrangements for your project. Nothing in that agreement or this policy limits your statutory rights.
Cancelling or changing a project
Please contact hello@stormfield.co.uk as soon as possible if you need to cancel or change a booking. For business clients, the agreed project terms apply. Where no cancellation terms have been agreed, we will account for work completed and reasonable, approved third-party costs that cannot be recovered, and refund any remaining advance payment. We will explain any deductions and take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable costs. Deposits are not automatically forfeited in full.
Ongoing services
Cancellation notice and any minimum commitment for an ongoing service will be set out in your agreement before you sign up. We will confirm the service end date and reconcile any advance payments against services supplied and valid contractual charges. Changes to scope, schedules or deliverables will be agreed in writing.
If something is wrong
Tell us if a deliverable does not meet the agreed brief or a service has not been provided properly. We will investigate and agree an appropriate remedy, which may include correcting the work, repeating the service or providing a proportionate refund. Agreed revision limits do not restrict statutory remedies. A change of preference or a new brief is normally handled as a project change, rather than a refund for correctly completed work.
Consumer cancellation rights
If you buy as a consumer online, by phone or away from our business premises, you will normally have 14 days from the day after the service contract is made to cancel without giving a reason. Send us a clear statement by email before the period ends; no particular wording is required. If you expressly request that services start during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for services supplied before cancellation, where the law allows. You lose the cancellation right once a service is fully performed only if the required prior consent and acknowledgement have been obtained. Bespoke services are not automatically excluded from these rights.
Digital content
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, any loss of the cooling-off right requires your express consent to supply beginning during that period and acknowledgement that the right will be lost, with the required confirmation. This policy alone is not that consent. Rights relating to faulty or misdescribed digital content remain unaffected.
Requesting and receiving a refund
Email hello@stormfield.co.uk with your name, project or invoice reference and details of your request. You can also call +44 7901 000074. A reason is helpful for a service complaint but is not required to exercise a statutory cooling-off right. We will explain our decision and any calculation. Refunds will be made without undue delay, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed, and within any applicable statutory deadline. For a valid statutory cancellation, this is normally within 14 days of being informed of your decision to cancel. We do not charge a refund processing fee.
Your rights and this policy
Consumers retain all rights under applicable UK consumer law, including rights where services are not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Updates to this policy will not retrospectively change an existing agreement without your agreement. Contact hello@stormfield.co.uk if you have any questions.
